On Friday 7 October and Saturday 8 October Handmade Cinema returned to Burton Street for two special screenings of Mary Poppins in collaboration with Sensoria Festival.
Audiences stepped right into Edwardian London with Mary Poppins and enjoyed activities taken straight from the film in an entirely decorated environment. There was creativity at Bert’s Chalk Drawing Street, words were invented with the Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious activity, and there was chance to measure yourself on Mary Poppins’ tape measure.
There was live music from our One-Man-Band (Stuart Faulkner) plus singing and dancing from A Mind Apart Performing Arts who prepared a special Mary Poppins performance just for the screening.
The Friday event was a very special learning disabilities friendly screening for those with additional educational needs.
